OMTA - The Oregon Massage Therapists Association
OMTA Volunteers

Volunteers are the Core of Our Success
Created by volunteer LMTs, the Oregon Massage Therapists Association continues to be operated by volunteer LMTs. As fellow massage therapists, we are best suited to understand the importance of personal healing and growth as professionals with the ability to address the needs and concerns of our community.

Individuals Build Ideas
Our Executive Committee, which maintains, revises, and continues to build OMTA, is a group of volunteers. Some positions are elected from our membership, while others are appointed. While the current Executive Committee consists of members that have been with OMTA for anywhere from a few months to over a decade, the organization was built on the dedication of our predecessors. From our first president, Susan Kerr Shawn, to our current president, Robert Bike, OMTA exists because of the generous donation of time and effort of our board members. We welcome the contributions of our members and are always seeking new voices and new ideas to carry us through the decades to come.

Your Input Creates Change
Whether you're considering joining or you've been a member for years, we welcome your input and value your commitment to making OMTA a valuable resource.

Learn About Your Leadership
Our Executive Committee holds meetings that are open to the public in which planning is conducted for future events, past events are reviewed, legislative action is debated, financial decisions are made, and regular business is conducted.
