My training is in EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques. Since 2007, I have been developing Tapping Therapy Technique, an easy-to-use variation of EFT. It is easy to learn and very effective.
Legal info: I believe these workshops will generate extraordinary benefits for all attendees. However, EFT is a very flexible process and these workshops represents the views of the presenter and do not reflect those of EFT, Gary Craig, Roger Callahan, or the training offered by anyone else. Emotional Freedom Techniques is experimental and unproven. While you are free to use, teach, share and/or show any of the material presented here, use these procedures with caution to treat yourself or others. This is not a medical procedure, and no psychology nor pyschotherapy is involved.
Gary Craig developed EFT in 1995, and retired in 2010.
What is The Mental Game? Robert Bike created The Mental Game in February 2005. The Mental Game is a game we play in our heads—a game of thoughts, excuses, 'yes-buts', and repeated thoughts and patterns that keep us from reaching our potential. The website www.thementalgame.org was founded, created and designed by Robert Bike in February 2005. The Mental Game© is an assumed business name, Registry Number 413655-94, owned by Robert Bike, LMT, LLC. |
I love to play basketball. Though I had been steadily improving as a player, it was not until I started working with Robert and EFT that I began to see amazing results. In my basketball league championship game, I scored 15 points and had four rebounds, and my team won the championship. This league season I am averaging over ten points a game, and four rebounds a game. This from a player that used to average 3 points and 1 rebound. I have a found a new confidence on the court, and I am not afraid to take and make shots when they count the most. EFT and my work with Robert has helped me to become the player that I always knew I could be. Jake |
I was recommended to visit Robert by my dear friend of many years who understands the difficult fears I deal with. I had two sessions and yes I feel equipped now to make life altering decisions. I was crippled with fear before and now I feel so grounded. Most of all I have clarity now! I suffered horrendous abuse as a child, much of it sexual in nature. I have had a true breakthrough and now enjoy sex like never before. I was unable to have orgasms easily, but that has changed and now I truly bliss out and feel so happy!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. [Please note: Both sessions with Melissa used EFT, fully clothed. EFT is not sex therapy, but it apparently works with almost everything! — RB] |
Hi Robert! I wanted to update you on a new change that EFT has made in my life... a really stellar change, in fact. |
"Thank you so very much!! "It was so very generous of you to take the time to educate me in the work of EFT. "I have been experimenting with more and more specific statements. Sometimes, I will just tap on my spots during the day to keep things flowing." — Mary |
"I felt better than I had in ages and it is still lasting. I am thrilled, though, with the additional energy I seem to have available and I am more relaxed as I move through what I need to do. "By the way, I'm almost afraid to say it out loud for fear of tempting the gods, but my interest in daily alcohol consumption has waned considerably. Wine with dinner is unaffected but to just sit down and nurture myself with a drink or two just doesn't seem important. I come home and still have energy so I'm doing other things. 10:00 arrives and I forgot to have a drink! I know you are thrilled about this. If this continues, it is really the way I would prefer to have a relationship with alcohol. "Thanks so much. Love and Light" — Kristin |
"The cause of all negative emotions
is a disruption in the body's energy system."
The Mental Game©, an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), makes use of an ancient medical model. Instead of allopathic medicine, which uses surgery, radiation and pharmaceutical drugs to treat symtoms, energy medicine utilizes acupressure points to provide relief for a wide range of physical symptoms. More than 80% of clients report noticeable improvement from their problems in one session of EFT.
Based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body’s energy system, without the discomfort of needles.
Negative emotions are related to a disruption in the body's energy pathways.
Properly applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached to it, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms.
Some cases are complex and may require more detailed attention from an experienced EFT Practitioner, or are referred out to a mental health or emotional health professional.
Disruptions in the body's energy pathways are related to negative emotions.
Robert Bike, EFT-ADV, LMT #5473, has practiced EFT since 2004. Always looking for a panacea for his clients, a single healing method that works for everything, he found that EFT truly does work for almost everything with few negative side effects. A body worker since 1981, Robert has a private practice in Eugene.

Comments After Tapping Classes Even though I understand how EFT works—the tapping procedure unlocks blocked energy and allows my body-mind to correct itself—the healing that I have experienced in just a few short sessions seems miraculous: the stiffness in my knee is gone, and my food cravings are history. And incredibly, my learning disability is resolving itself. For as long as I can remember I have struggled with reading comprehension. I am not dyslexic in the usual sense; I can discern letters and words clearly. However, capturing the overall meaning of the strings of words has always been a huge, painful effort. Getting through college and post-grad work in business was torture for me. During school and for years afterward, I had recurring nightmares about uncompleted reading assignments. I relied on my almost photographic memory to cram for most of my exams and made it through college with nearly an A average, but I felt that I was harboring a deep, dark secret and I felt like a fake. All of a sudden the struggle has ended. What a relief to read and understand! In friendship, Jo Hello Robert, Nine months ago I decided to find out if I was really an "alcoholic." Within a few months I was drinking 2 to 4 glasses of wine, beer or hard liquor almost every night after work. I just loved the happy feeling it gave me. On the other hand, I was starting to feel some physical effects from daily drinking—burning in my stomach, weight gain, and a blotchy complexion. Deep inside I wanted to quit drinking, but I didn't want to go back to AA. So I was excited when I took your class and you asked if any of us wanted to be tapped on for an addiction. Even though I was resistant to calling my drinking an addiction, I was very eager to see if you could help me get out of the painful rut I was in. One of the best workshops I ever attended. — Maggie Hi Robert,
Thank you for a really good class yesterday; it was fun and we learned a lot. It will be fun to practice it with some of my clients, and Stacey and I are looking forward to working with each other also. Jeff Greetings Robert, Hi Robert, I have been doing a LOT of tapping and am just ASTOUNDED at the results. My life is changing so much! It really makes me wonder, what will life be like a year from now if I keep doing this regularly??? The other thing I wanted to tell you is that I used to have this sort of mental 'hiccup' where I would repeat this phrase in my head, especially when I felt stressed or embarrassed. The other day, I just sat down and did 2 rounds of tapping, using that phrase at every point. I have to tell you the miracle....it hasn't come up once since. And this phrase has been haunting me and tormenting me for YEARS!!! All I did was tap on it and it doesn't happen any more. How cool is that??? Thanks so much for everything...the class, the demo, and all your gifts. Oh, Robert - Your class was WONDERFUL!!!! I'm waking up at night even - thinking about things to add to my 100 things to tap on list! Be Well... ~ Blessings ~ Rachelle Robert, I was so shocked at what happened that day in class. It had been 18 years since my husband's accident. I really thought I had dealt with things. I was never willing to admit to myself that I had guilt over it. I'm freeing up so much in my life and I don't plan on stopping. I'm actually able to speak about things without totally tearing up. TRULY AMAZING! The next day I had an annual check-up. Normally I have such anxiety but I tapped my way up to the office in the elevator and then kept on tapping while in the waiting room. I can't believe how calm I was and how I sailed thru it. INCREDIBLE. I've been making some big changes in my life the last couple of months, and adding this technique, I've hit the mother load. First night I came home and talked to my husband about the class. I was nervous but tapped first. Well I got through it and quite successfully, lots of tears but I did it. That was HUGE. It's all good. Let me share my new mantra with you, I got it from a song. "The sanctuary of truth outweighs my refuge of deception." Words can be so powerful. I'm choosing truth over deception. Blessings to you, |

Once the natural flow of energy is restored, the body returns to its desired state of physical and emotional well-being.
Some situations require the attention of conventional therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists or physicians. I refer out diagnosed DSM Psychological Disorders to trained professionals.

Hi Robert,
Since your class I have been tapping on Eliza Doolittle (the Irish Setter) for her fear of loud noises. I do both surrogate tapping and tap on the the dog. She actually seems to enjoy it! Anyhow, we finally heard a loud pop the other night and instead of being absolutely frantic she was anxious, paced for a few minutes and went to her bed and went to sleep. Fourth of July will be the true test. I worked on my shoulder in class and it still feels great. My massage therapist even commented on how loose it was. I gave her your card so she can come see for herself.
Thanks again,
Mary |
"I want to update you on how I have been feeling. I ate one of my favorite pastries the other day, which I have not been able to do in a VERY long time without getting a panic attack. "Slowly but surely I am starting to get better days. I feel much better when I get up, and I feel refreshed. I thought I would honestly never feel this good in such a short period of time! "It's almost too good to be true. It feels very unreal! Thank you again for the session. I am tapping for everything now!" — Deanna : ) |
"Thank you so much for your help. I wanted to let you know that your treatment really helped me to do what I needed to do and that it had positive results. Thank you again!" — L. M., Prineville, Oregon |
Blogger stress relief Krista sought relief for stress from dealing with an unruly 6-year-old. Read her story in her own words here. In an epilogue to her blog, she writes: "I was driving with Kaycee this weekend, and she was fine, sitting quietly in the back seat. I was developing a headache, so I began tapping. She asked, concerned, "Mommy, am I stressing you out?" I laughed and said no, that tapping also helps for other things, like when my body isn't feeling good. A few minutes later, I looked in my mirror and she was tapping herself!! Of course she stubbornly refused to let me demonstrate the "proper" way to do it, but I think she can benefit anyway just from learning that she has the power within herself to help her body when it's not feeling well. Thank you so much for all your help!! — Krista |
