"The body of the people is the temple of the holy spirit within you." — 1 Corinthian 6:19

Here are five simple and easy spiritual things you can do for better health and longer life.

Take care of your body, you have to live in it for the rest of your life.

Ok, everyone. I've been preaching the benefits of drinking enough water to just about everbody I talk to. Read the article I wrote for Touchstone, the journal of the Oregon Massage Therapists Association about water.

And here are some additional musings.

  1. Pray. Know that you are never alone. Whatever you wish to call God, Spirit, Jehovah, Yahweh, there is a greater intelligence listening.
  2. Meditate. Take time to be with yourself. You have an inner strength that you can access through meditation.
  3. Breathe. Breath is life. Remember to breathe deeply. Use breath as a walking meditation. Take five steps as you inhale, hold for three steps, exhale for five steps. Relax, inhale, breathe.
  4. Connect. Recognize that you are a part of something greater than you. There is no away. We are all part of the earth. Feel the connection.
  5. Read. Troubled? Lonely? Pick up a book. Transport yourself into someone else's world. Read the Bible. There's a wealth of information available to you on-line, from newspapers, from bookstores and libraries.

Put more life in your years!
