Biblical
Aromatherapy
by Robert Bike The Bible mentions about 232 plants by name, or closely enough to figure out what plant is meant. Of these, 24 are aromatic plants; that is, parts of the plants can be pressed or distilled to get an essential oil. Essential oils are the lifeblood of plants and have tremendous healing capabilities. The
healing power of plants is the basis for modern medicines.
Originally published in manuscript form in 1999, I completely revised the book and added illustrations. To order
Biblical Aromatherapy in paperback, List price $24.99; introductory offer $19.99 To order the pdf version and download to your computer or phone, The electronic version is only $2.99! |

Bill Martin wrote to me. He would have graduated with the Class of 1955 had his parents not moved away. He attended Harlem School for grades 1-5, and Union School for 6th grade.
Bill remembers that some of his Harlem School classmates were Carol Johnson, Nancy Beam, Audrey Taylor, Tommy Heiser, Robert Butcher, Voight Smith (his dad was a doctor), Bruce Beasly, Terry Arbogast, Richard Maples and Molly Scholls. He remembers Charlene Kerlin and Bill Kortemeier from Union School. His teachers at Union were Miss O'Connor and Mrs. Hill.
Younger kids that he remembers from his neighborhood on N. Harlem Avenue were Hank Purdue (Class of 1959) and Denny Maves. His next door neighbors on S. Carroll Ave. were Karen and Suzie Steffan, and Barbara Soliday. The Superintendent of Schools, a man named Ben Shafer, lived directly across the street from his house, next to a man named Ogden, and on his other side, a neighbor named Wamsley. A couple named Redmer ran the Historical museum a couple blocks away.
Carolyn and Allan Sikes were two children of his cousin, as well as Sylvia and Brian Volkers. Karen, Garnet and Paulette Stephan are also kids of another cousin. Janice Rummelhagen was also a daughter of another cousin.
Bill is retired from the printing trade, is an oil and watercolor artist, and has a website, www.wfmartin.com.
Bill's uncle, Lt. Vernon H. Evans, was Killed In Action in WWII.
